Job Description - Credit & Collections Specialist

FTE: 0.5 (Part-time)


Location: On-Site - 200 Route 100, Morden, MB


At Decor Cabinets, we believe strong partnerships build strong businesses. As a Credit & Collections Specialist, you’ll play a key role in protecting the financial health of our organization while supporting the success of our dealer network.


This role is ideal for someone who combines financial insight with strong relationship skills — someone who can assess risk thoughtfully, navigate difficult conversations professionally, and collaborate cross-functionally to keep business moving forward.


What You’ll Do


1) Manage Credit Risk




  • Review and evaluate dealer credit applications




  • Monitor account activity and identify emerging risks




  • Recommend credit limits and adjustments aligned with company policy




  • Partner with sales leadership to balance growth and risk




2) Drive Collections & Accounts Receivable




  • Manage the full collections cycle, including follow-up and payment negotiations




  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputed invoices




  • Track aging reports and high-risk accounts




  • Support decisions related to credit holds or third-party collections




3) Support Dealer & Internal Relationships




  • Serve as a primary contact for dealers regarding credit terms and account status




  • Collaborate with sales, customer service, and shipping to resolve account concerns




  • Provide guidance on credit policies and best practices




4) Improve Processes & Ensure Compliance




  • Recommend improvements to credit and collections processes




  • Ensure adherence to company policies and audit requirements




  • Support month-end and year-end AR activities




What You Bring




  • 3+ years of experience in credit management, collections, accounts receivable, or a related role




  • Experience in a manufacturing or B2B environment is an asset




  • Strong financial acumen and analytical ability




  • Sound judgment in assessing and managing credit risk




  • Skilled negotiator who can maintain positive relationships




  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization




  • Clear, professional communication skills
