Looking for a new opportunity?
We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated individual to join us as a Credit Manager based in our Toronto office. The role will report into the Director of Finance and support our branches in Canada and the U.S.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring all credit terms extended to customers and working directly with our Project Managers and customers to collect overdue amounts
Monitoring and maintaining up-to-date records for all customer accounts
Managing monthly meetings for each branch location
Monthly reporting to our Director of Finance as needed to escalate problem accounts
Assists with various accounting and finance functions assigned from the Director of Finance
Create/report regular various A/R reports to Company Finance, and Project Managers
Perform a variety of accounting and finance duties including reconciliations of accounts and assisting with customer account analysis.
Monitor with the Project Managers project substantial completion & collection of holdbacks after substantial completion

Ability to collaborate closely with our Project Managers
Proactive & direct telephone communication skills with customers
Coordinate collection strategies for complex cases and legal actions as needed
Knowledge of the Canadian & American construction industry considered an asset
Interest in the construction industry and a willingness to learn and grow within the sector
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and fun work environment
100% in office role
What You’ll Bring:
Ability to understand and manage all types of deductions (Retainage, holdback etc.) & general knowledge of contracts
Successful completion of post-secondary degree
Strong administrative abilities, including proficiency in managing documents, spreadsheets
Experience with an accounting software package
Accuracy and attention to detail
