Job Description - CRM Analyst

This role is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of specified applications used by the users and staff of the client. This role provides essential services to the client by extracting, manipulating, and monitoring data in their systems and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and ensuring data integrity. The CRM Solutions Architect will design and document workflow, integrate and customize applications and make appropriate system controls and protocol recommendations.

The CRM Analyst documents ERP system processes and may conduct end-user training to promote effective use and best practices. In doing so, this role also tracks and manages support requests to ensure timely resolution of issues as well as maintains, generates, and analyses ERP reports to support organizational planning. The role is the functional expert on specified applications (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM) and is the main point of contact between the Association and Vendor support.

Your success will be defined by your ability in the following:

  • System Development and Integration
    • Lead design, software development, and implementations of all Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM business solutions while applying strong CI/CD principles to current system’s infrastructure.
    • Lead the deployment of internal integrations between existing and new systems by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
    • Work on software development of Power Apps customizations applying an in-depth understanding of configuration, security, integration, extensibility, as well as boundaries and constraints.
    • Lead the automation infrastructure comprising of but not limited to: Microsoft Power Automate cloud workflows, Business Process Flows (BPFs), and native workflows.
    • Develop JavaScript-based client-side scripting and XML solutions to customize and extend Model-driven apps forms, views, and dashboards to improve user experience and streamline business processes.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to key team members, administrators, and end-users on best practices for leveraging Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and other systems or applications.
  • CRM Configuration and Support
    • As the product owner, collaborate with key stakeholders to drive the definition, building, and implementation of any direct or indirect CRM-related initiatives.
    • Create and configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM forms, entities, data fields, views, dashboards, reports, and applicable data tables.
    • Extract and manipulate data within the association’s system and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, including structuring, cleaning, correcting, and analyzing data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
    • Assist and investigate issues regarding Dynamics CRM for Members and Vendors.
    • Proactively assess inquiries and decide escalation point that would require opening a ticket with BDO directly.
    • Extract data from Dynamics CRM, clean and review the data, perform calculations if needed, and build reports.
    • Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing help desk support, and training users.
  • Project Management and Strategy
    • Execute all assigned technology projects in relation to work processes, the client's systems, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Technology in the creation and execution of project work plans.
    • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering business and functional requirements, and conducting stakeholder analysis.
    • Map key Business Processes on a departmental level throughout the organization.
    • Create programs and implement new technologies/software to support the dynamic and evolving needs of the organization.
    • Improve systems by studying current trends and best practices in the industry.
  • Department Support and Maintenance
    • Maintain database storage through continuous assessment of the needs of the organization with the guidance of the Director of Technology.
    • Troubleshoot hardware issues for staff members as needed (T1, T2, or T3).
    • Offer Technical support to the offices: Assist when printers/computers/phones are down. Set up A/V for internal meetings when needed. Act as a backup for AV room maintenance.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices including best practices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related areas.
    • Act as a backup for the client’s Data Specialist to prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends on membership usage of the client's Web/Internet services.
    • Attend all staff and department-specific meetings as well as training sessions.

Your strengths include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Development, Computer Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) working in an IT role involving technology development and deployment, or the equivalent, is required.
  • Technical proficiency and experience implementing and maintaining ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in business process alignment and ability to customize and configure ERP Software to meet organizational needs.
  • Experience with end-user training and support is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a Non-Profit or Association setting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Real Estate industry and its dynamics in Alberta is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and navigate ticketing process (or similar program) is advantageous.
