Job Description - Crusher Operator

We are looking to hire Crusher Operators in Peace River Region of Alberta with aggregate experience, for the 2025 Summer season.



The Crusher Operator is required to operate and maintain heavy equipment and crushing equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets while ensuring full compliance with all safety and operating procedures. Some travel to remote work sites for extended periods of time may be required and accommodations and subsistence are supplied.


 


Job Duties


·       Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures


·       Receive directions from site foreman regarding day-to-day operations and tasks


·       Pre-& post inspection checks of the equipment


·       Maintain accurate records in equipment log


·       Report any defects found on equipment


·       Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. Quantity of fuel and fluids must be reported in the inspection log


·       Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment


·       Maintain good housekeeping practices at worksites and on equipment


·       Prepare and submit required daily reports


·       Perform other functions such as manual labour, as required by operational needs and priorities


 


Job Requirements


·       At least 2 years’ experience in operating heavy equipment and preferably crushing equipment


·       Experience working around aggregate crushing equipment, such as Jaw-cone, crushers, Impact crushers and stacking conveyors would be considered an asset


·       Familiar with general maintenance practices of heavy equipment


·       Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting up to 50 lbs


·       Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays


·       Ability to work overtime, as needed


·       Ability and willingness to travel. The successful candidate must be able to travel and work at multiple locations
