CSJ 2026 - Website Administrator

Position Overview:

Penny Appeal Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Website Administrator. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in website management within the non-profit sector while supporting the organization’s mission. The Website Administrator will ensure regular review of campaign pages for accuracy and performance, helping optimize user experience and conversions. They will also be responsible for uploading and maintaining content, including blog articles and SEO pages.

Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain campaign pages to ensure accuracy, functionality, and optimization for conversions


• Optimize user experience across the website, including mobile responsiveness, page speed, and layout


• Upload and format blogs, impact stories, and other website content


• Implement basic SEO best practices across web pages (meta tags, alt text, keyword usage)


• Write and update SEO-focused content in collaboration with the SEO team and Communications Specialist


• Conduct regular quality assurance checks, including links, formatting, and overall page performance


• Support ongoing website updates and improvements as needed

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress preferred


• Basic understanding of website structure and user experience (UX) principles


• Strong attention to detail, including QA, formatting, and link validation


• Basic knowledge of SEO practices (meta tags, alt text, keyword optimization) is an asset


• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.js


• Strong understanding of PHP is an asset


• Ability to follow structured processes and timelines


• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot and learn
