Job Description - CSU E&I Discipline Lead - PL#91641

Peter Lucas Project Management invests in people, community, and cutting-edge technology to provide gold standard project delivery. We are currently looking for a Commissioning & Start-Up (C&SU) E&I Lead to join our team.

This is on onsite rotational role, 2 weeks in 2 weeks out.

Role Description / Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electrical and instrumentation (E&I) discipline work is completed safely and in accordance with all safety program requirements.
  • Function as a working supervisor who physically performs trade work while also supervising trade crews as needed.
  • Modify, repair, test, troubleshoot, and inspect electrical and instrument installations.
  • Verify installation, wiring, and terminations of MCCs, control panels, and junction boxes.
  • Inspect, modify, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation installations.
  • Identify and document deficiencies, provide input, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Complete commissioning documentation (e.g., check sheets, inspection test plans, and test reports).
  • Record accurate as-built/as-left conditions on redline drawings, datasheets, and project documentation.
  • Participate in commissioning team meetings, including daily toolbox talks, safety discussions, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Support the development of detailed execution plans and monitor work progress.
  • Collaborate to address scheduling or productivity issues and overcome barriers to successful completion.

  • Journeyperson status as an instrumentation mechanic or electrician; dual-ticketed individuals are strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a brownfield commissioning environment is required.
  • Hands-on, proven experience in commissioning and start-up activities is essential.
  • Experience working in regulated or nuclear facilities is an asset.
  • Supervisor training/certification is required.
  • First Aid and WHMIS certification required.
  • Pre-access substance testing is required.
  • Valid safety certifications (e.g., CSO) are highly preferred.
