Join the Pharmacy Informatics team as a Credentialed Trainer (CT)/Subject Matter Operational Readiness Expert (SMORE). Reporting to the Informatics Manager, you will split your time, with approximately 50% dedicated to each role. Depending on final assignments, there may also be an opportunity to work as a Clinical Knowledge Lead (CKL) for 50% of the role.As a SMORE, you will lead decisions on configuring technology related to medication data, including EPIC. This role involves investigating informatics issues, collaborating with analyst teams and clinicians, and developing innovative solutions. Key skills required include effective communication, strong interpersonal abilities, creative problem-solving, and adaptability.As a CT, you will facilitate in-classroom and virtual EPIC training for frontline users, collaborate with Senior Trainers, review training materials, and provide end-user support. This role requires effective teaching skills and the ability to address user concerns.Until the end of 2024, expect up to 50% travel for onsite teaching and support. In 2025, travel will be limited to specific initiatives. Travel is within the province and may include overnight stays. Availability for teaching and travel during CT role days is essential.Work hours are generally during weekdays, but occasional shifts outside these hours may be required. The position is remote, so you can work from any location across AHS. Although posted for an Edmonton site, remote work is acceptable.1 of 7 positions available.
Description:
As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Previous experience as a SMORE, Willow CT/Senior Trainer, Pharmacy CKL, Willow Analyst/App Lead or Pharmacy Connect Care Lead (Barcoding, Inventory or Implementation Lead) is required.Project lead experience with demonstrated ability to positively promote the change process and interface with key partners to discuss issues and work towards resolution.Comfort with technology with basic understanding of technical systems and their capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:Ability to extrapolate knowledge and apply a provincial view based on experience in different pharmacy settings.Experience with clinical information system support.Experience in adult education.Completion of Willow training tracks.Knowledge of ancillary technologies including Automatic Dispensing Cabinets, Packaging Machines and associated interfaces.
