Full-Time Term to March 31, 2026 with a possibility of extension

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Cultural Support Worker will be responsible for setting up weekly cultural /traditional workshops for the Eagle Urban Transition Centre clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up cultural workshops on topics relevant to cultural and spirituality.


• Contacting workshop presenters/Knowledge Keepers to provide cultural workshops.


• Drafting up informational posters on upcoming workshops.


• Contacting and following up with clients who have signed up for workshops, to confirm their attendance.


• Tracking records of workshops completed, names and contact information of participants, including sign in sheets, bus ticket distribution, ordering snack food, ensuring materials are on hand for workshops.


• Creating and continuous update a “Calendar of Workshop Activities”, posting and distributing.


• Booking the EUTC common area for workshops.


• Assisting at the Eagles Nest Youth Program as required.


• Ability to function effectively as a team member.


• Other duties as required. 
  

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of First Nation’s cultural values and traditions.


• Experience interacting with a diverse group of individuals.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work independently and co-operatively as part of a team.


• Must be punctual, dependable, reliable, keep confidential information private and be well organized.


• Be able to follow directions and follow up.


• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.


• Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
