Location: Albany, PE
Pay Range: $18.50/Hour
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week.

Custodian is responsible to clean and maintain the interior and exterior of company building.

Job Description:

Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
Empty trash cans and other waste containers
Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Cut grass and tend grounds and plants
Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures
May move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
Ensure that security and safety measures are in place in the establishment
Prepare uniforms and safety gear for each day
Laundry management, including removing and emptying dirty laundry, pickup clean laundry, sorting and organizing laundry
Maintain sign out sheets for employees and cleaning tasks checklists
May supervise other workers
Other duties as assigned by the manager

Shifts are from 8:00AM to 4:00PM. May be needed to do overtime.

Qualifications:

High School completion or equivalent experience
Able to write, read and communicate in English
Previous custodian or similar experience will be an asset
Work effectively in an environment where priorities change constantly with minimal supervision
