D51: T2: Gelcoat

Be part of a team that forms exterior fiberglass parts for the RV. The process entails spraying a mold with gelcoat, applying fiberglass to a mold using a glass chopping machine or by hand lay up, rolling air voids out of freshly applied fiberglass, pre-cutting raw material, and removing the part from the mold when it is cured. Wax is applied to the mold as needed.

Skills required to function successfully within this team include an eye for detail, lifting and moving material (up to 50 lbs., pushing up to 100 lbs.), and maintaining and properly operating a gel coat gun, chop gun, and tools associated with fiberglass production.
