Data Engineer [#4629]

Job Description Alteo is looking for a Data Engineer for a permanent position based in Dorval.

You will play a central role in defining data strategy and ensuring that data assets are effectively managed, organized and leveraged to support business objectives. Your responsibilities will cover the design, implementation and maintenance of data architectures enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data pipelines.
• Develop and manage data storage systems using traditional databases, data warehouses, NoSQL databases and cloud storage solutions.
• Create data transformation processes.
• Collaborate with solution architects to integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized repository.
• Implement data security measures and data reporting and visualization tools.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, data schemas and data flows.

• DEC/BAC in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in data engineering.
• Understanding of data pipelines, databases and storage technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of programming languages and tools commonly used in data engineering (Python, SQL query, Apache Spark, etc).
• Familiarity with relational databases, data warehouses and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in Microsoft Azure data management environment (Synapse, Databrick, Event grid, Function app, Fabric, Power Bi).
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in French
