Honorarium Position

Overview

The Deputy Academics Commissioner (Journals and Scholarships) shall assist the Academics Commissioner and adhere to and follow official ASUS policy as found in this manual and as interpreted by Council and Assembly. The Deputy Academics Commissioner (Journals and Scholarship) is responsible to the Academics Commissioner.

Time Commitment and Remuneration

Term: May 1st, 2025 – April 30th, 2026

Hours: 4-6 hours per week

Honorarium: Awarded based on the Honorarium Grid in the Human Resources Policy (Click here)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Academics Commissioner with the management of the Academic Journal Committees
• Schedule and lead all committee bi-weekly meetings
• Updating the Academics Commissioner on relevant Academic Journal happenings
• Communicating with external sources to coordinate journal publications
• Develop programming, events, and resources pertaining to postgraduate education opportunities
• Hold a minimum of five (5) office hours per week.
• Be a member of and attend weekly meetings with the Academics Core Team
