Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) - Elections Committee

The Deputy Returning Officer (DRO) is responsible for aiding the Chief Returning Officer in coordination of the EngSoc General Elections (President, Vice-President of Student Affairs, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Finance & Administration, Junior Senator) as well as Year Exec and Discipline Club elections. The DRO is a member of the elections committee and will work with this team to ensure the elections are properly conducted, organized, and advertised. The DRO will also get the opportunity to plan elections-themed events such as the All-Candidates Debate Night. 1st year and 2nd year students are preferred for this position.

Perks include:

- Gaining event planning and logistics experience

- Getting to work with the Elections Committee (6 people)

- Attending the elections reveal night

- Organizing an EngSoc exec info night

- Getting to know more about the operation and structure of Engsoc

Anyone planning on running for an executive position in 2025 cannot be a member of the elections committee and should not apply for this position.
