Options for Homes is Canada’s largest non-profit developer of attainable homeownership condominiums. Since 1994 we have transformed the housing landscape for moderate-income families by increasing the availability of quality, attainable homes, primarily across the Greater Toronto Ares (GTA).

Position Summary

We are seeking a Development Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to engage in managing development projects, from initial land acquisition and conceptual design, through municipal approvals, to project completion. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate closely with a small, multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation and updates to development pro formas for active development projects
• Working with senior members of the development team to draft project budgets, track and monitor project costs during the full development cycle, and develop, in conjunction with consultants, the packages for construction financing
• Preparation of market analysis to support sales and marketing functions, and screening of new business opportunities
• Due diligence support and underwriting for new land acquisition and business opportunities
• Support in preparing application submissions for lenders and other capital providers, and ongoing reporting requirements
• Ensure optimized financing and managing financing draws over the development life-cycle

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Real Estate
• 1-3 years of experience in the real estate industry, preferably in a role involving the preparation of development pro formas or costing/budgeting for residential land development projects
• Excellent financial modelling skills
• Strong research, analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
