Sous la supervision du chef d’équipe / RT‑LAB, le Développeur en Automatisation Assurance Qualité évoluera dans un environnement dynamique inspiré des méthodes Agile et participera activement au développement d’outils internes utilisés dans le cadre des tests automatisés en intégration continue (CI). Ces outils soutiennent les équipes de développement dans l’évolution de nos plateformes de simulation temps réel. Dans un contexte d’intégration continue, vous appuierez les équipes logicielles à toutes les étapes du développement des produits OPAL‑RT.

Responsabilités principales:

• Développer et exécuter des scénarios de test alignés sur les spécifications de l’équipe Recherche et Développement.


• Concevoir, exécuter, maintenir et documenter des tests automatisés en Python.


• Intégrer les tests automatisés dans l’environnement d’intégration continue (Jenkins / Groovy).


• Participer à l’amélioration des processus et des outils communs.


• Soutenir et former les utilisateurs dans le déploiement et l’utilisation des outils internes de tests automatisés.


• Collaborer au sein d’une équipe Agile.

Exigences :

• Formation : Baccalauréat en génie logiciel, en informatique ou équivalent.

• Expérience: 1 à 2 ans d’expérience en automatisation des tests et/ou en développement logiciel.

Compétences requises :
- Réalisation de tests unitaires, d’intégration et de tests automatisés (Python, Groovy, etc.).

- Expérience avec les technologies d’intégration continue (Jenkins, GitLab‑CI, etc.).

- Connaissance des bonnes pratiques en automatisation des tests.

• Langues : Le français est requis. Une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit, est nécessaire pour assurer une communication efficace avec des collègues et partenaires à l’extérieur du Québec.


• Qualités personnelles : Autonomie, curiosité, bonnes habiletés interpersonnelles, esprit d’équipe.


• Intérêt marqué pour les systèmes d’intégration continue et les tests automatisés.

Atouts importants:

• Certifications en assurance qualité (ex. : ISTQB).


• Connaissance des outils et langages suivants : Batch, Shell, Git, GitLab, systèmes d’exploitation Linux.


• Expérience avec les méthodes Agile (SCRUM, Kanban, etc.).

Achievements and stimulating challenges:

Under the supervision of the Team Leader / RT-LAB, the QA Automation Developer will work in a dynamic environment inspired by Agile methods and will be required to actively participate in the development of internal tools used during automated CI tests. These tools support developers in the evolution of our real-time simulation platforms. In the context of continuous integration, you will support the software teams in all phases of the development of OPAL-RT products.

Main Duties:

• Develop and execute test scenarios aligned with Research & Development team specifications.


• Implement, run, maintain and document automated tests (Python)


• Integrate automatic tests into the continuous integration environment (Jenkins / Groovy)


• Participate in the improvement of common processes and tools


• Support and train users in the deployment and use of internal tools to perform automated tests


• Collaborate as a team in an Agile environment

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science or equivalent.


• Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in test automation, and/or software development


• Skills required:
  - Performing unit tests, integration tests and automated tests (Python, Groovy, ...)
  - Experience with continuous integration technologies (Jenkins, Gitlab-CI, ...)
  - Knowledge of test automation best practices


• Language abilities: French is required, and advanced English skills (oral and written) help ensure open, effective communication with colleagues and partners beyond Quebec.

• Desired skills:Autonomy, curiosity, good interpersonal communication, team spirit.


• Strong interest in continuous integration and automated testing systems.

Significant assets:

• QA-related certifications (e.g., ISTQB). 


• Knowledge of the following tools and languages: Batch, Shell script, Git, Gitlab, Linux operating systems


• Experience with agile methods (SCRUM, Kanban...);
