The Role

The Digital Marketing Specialist based in Toronto is responsible for supporting the Company Brand Marketing team with social media management, including websites and online communities such as Facebook, and Instagram. The Digital Marketing Specialist will provide exceptional customer service by responding to all consumer inquiries (email, telephone, social media). This role will also provide general support for brand marketing initiatives, innovation projects and trade marketing programs.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop a strong digital/social media strategy for Company Owned brands, working closely with the Brand Management team
  • Manage all content creation/localization, formatting, posting, monitoring, reporting, and responding for social media properties. May also include, PR agency briefing & approving influencer social media content.
  • Ongoing website and social media page management for Company Owned Brands. This includes, creating social media content tied to our Events as well as on-site social media content creation
  • Act as front-line consumer response for Company-Owned brands (email, telephone, social media)
  • Work with 3 rd party media, creative and promotional agencies as required
  • Cross functional support between different stakeholders teams

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of marketing and social media experience, preferably at an agency
  • Completed Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or a related field
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Operate with a strong sense of urgency to ensure issues are managed & priorities to ensure timely and accurate customer responses.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to deliver ‘out of the box’ solutions
  • Strong understanding of the Social Media Landscape and experience with Social Media Platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Experience in developing and managing digital content creation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • A detail-oriented, organized, and analytical team player who is eager to learn.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to create social media still and video assets. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Capcut or video editing software would be an asset.
