The Opportunity:
The Director, Learning and Knowledge Management will collaborate closely with AgeCare's Executive and Senior Leadership teams to ensure the timely delivery of education services to all staff, residents, volunteers, students, and the community. This role will involve strategic planning, program development, and coordination with community-based educators to align educational initiatives with organizational objectives and industry standards.
What You Will Do:
Design and implement educational programs that align with adult learning principles and organizational objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs and develop comprehensive education plans.
Utilize instructional design techniques to create engaging learning experiences and materials.
Oversee the implementation and evaluation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and related technologies.
Standardize content development across the organization in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Collaborate with the Operational Excellence (OpEx) team to translate evidence into practice through policy design and education initiatives.
Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements, legislation, and industry standards in all education programs.
Lead the ongoing development and management of AgeCare’s Virtual Campus of Learning.
Participate in quality management activities and accreditation processes to promote continuous improvement.
What You Will Need:
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing or bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is required.
Minimum of 5 years of continuing care experience within applicable legislation and regulatory college practice standards.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in education, learning, and development.
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
Experience in residential program development and standardization considered an asset.
Strong facilitation, project management, and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with instructional design models and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Must be able to provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check, including a Criminal Background Check, or be willing to obtain one.
