Working as a Director of Digital & Growth Marketing

CertaPro Painters is looking for an experienced and deeply capable Director of Digital & Growth Marketing to join its brand marketing team. The team oversees central marketing and communications working with stakeholders across the CertaPro Painters franchise network, which consists of more than 375 independently owned and operated franchised businesses. As the Director of Digital & Growth Marketing, you will help lead key performance-driving marketing initiatives across paid media, organic channels, marketing analytics, product ownership, and lead-generation pilot programs both in-house and through the management of approved digital marketing agencies.

Purpose of the Role

The Director of Digital and Growth Marketing will manage strategic and key day-to-day digital marketing and advertising functions carried out by the marketing team in support of lead generation, engagement, and awareness goals. The Director of Digital and Growth Marketing will also help devise and implement new growth opportunities across channels as well as essential digital-driven marketing platform operations. The position reports to the VP of Performance Marketing and works collaboratively with the overall marketing team and the larger CertaPro Painters organization.

Essential Functions

  • Act as primary manager for key digital paid media channels including Connected TV, YouTube, and Display. Review performance and provide optimization recommendations including creative refresh cadence. Facilitate broadcast media activation and management.
  • Audit and continually maintain our brand content on key non-social external channels inclusive of YouTube and others. Own publisher connections across franchisee locations, and manage connection or access issues across accounts.
  • Implement new marketing measurements across lead delivery systems (website, phone, chat, etc.) and build attribution framework.
  • Balance network-wide and local requirements in development of media plans and activations.
  • Continuously review our website analytics for network-wide communication and to uncover insights in channel-specific reporting, lead conversion drop off, validation of campaign performance, and more.
  • Create a continuous cadence of launching and managing pilot programs focused on key business outcomes ranging from lead generation to brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and different teams from the organization to collect data, identify gaps, and create requirements in the creation of a new CDP for the brand.
  • Identify and develop best practices from both a creative and technical operations perspective while also completing soup-to-nuts ad tech platform execution to ensure timely and accurate digital campaign launches.
  • Build and manage various operations workflows such as developing ad operations process documentation, maintain relationships with pertinent ad tech partners, work with the data team to optimize naming convention structures, advise and partner with data analysts to ensure we’re getting the best insights out of our ad tech metadata, and continually keep up-to-date with industry standards (i.e. IAB) and ops best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years related work experience in digital marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, analytics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with both DTC and B2B performance marketing
  • 6+ years of progressive, hands-on multi-media (paid and organic) experience with proven success metrics
  • Proven experience in high-ticket customer acquisition, funnel design, optimization, and A/B testing.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to synthesize complex marketing data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on experience in marketing platforms including Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads, SA360, etc.), Microsoft (Dynamics 365, Customer Insights, Power BI, etc.), WordPress, HubSpot, Marchex, and Monday/Smartsheet.
  • Preferred: History working within a franchisee organization and/or background in home services, real estate, or a related field
  • Base Compensation:$100,000 – $140,000 (Mid-Senior level)
