Director of Marketing

Lead marketing for one of Alberta's most trusted home-service brands!

Action Furnace is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead our brand, attract new customers and grow the value of the customers we already serve. This is a Leadership Team role for an experienced marketer who pairs strong brand and creative judgment with a modern, data-driven approach to growth.

We are a well-established Alberta residential HVAC and home-service company serving Calgary, Edmonton and Red Deer, with a trusted brand, more than 30,000+ members and a Leadership Team that runs on EOS.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAD

Brand

• Own Action Furnace's positioning, messaging and creative standards across all markets and service lines, so every customer touchpoint looks and sounds like us.


• Direct campaigns, media planning and creative development, and hold the work to a high standard. 


• Grow awareness, trust and branded demand over time, including our brand reputation and community presence.

New customer growth

• Attract valuable new customers through search, local listings, our website, offers and other channels, balancing long-term brand building with near-term demand.


• Measure success by customer quality, acquisition cost, payback and profit.


• Match demand to field and call centre capacity by market and season.

Existing customers

• Treat our customer database as a valuable business asset. Build programs for memberships, repeat service, unsold estimates, reactivation and equipment replacement.


• Partner with our Data Intelligence Team on segmentation, customer lifetime value and predictive insights to decide who to contact, when, with what offer and at what investment.


• Find cross-service opportunities that deepen customer relationships and grow long-term value.

Planning and measurement

• Turn company growth targets into annual and quarterly marketing plans, forecasts and budget decisions by market and service line.


• Own the marketing scorecard and report results clearly to the Leadership Team.


• Build a culture of testing and learning. Run experiments, review results and move spend to what works.

People and partners

• Lead, coach and develop a Marketing Coordinator with clear priorities, accountability and deadlines.


• Select, brief, challenge and, when needed, replace agencies and vendors, while keeping ownership of strategy and results inside Action Furnace.


• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and the Call Centre to align growth plans with customer experience and capacity, bringing issues forward through our EOS meeting rhythm.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Meaningful senior marketing leadership experience.


• A proven record of owning a significant marketing budget, a team and commercial results.


• Strong brand, creative, campaign, media and agency management skills.


• Experience with digital and direct-response marketing, CRM, attribution and marketing automation.


• The ability to interpret customer data and turn it into sound business decisions.


• Hands-on use of AI and new marketing tools, and a clear habit of learning.


• A degree in marketing, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base salary of $130,000+, depending on experience.
