Lead with Vision. Strengthen Programs. Build Community.

Are you a strategic leader who understands that strong programs are built through strong relationships? Do you believe that youth thrive when organizations collaborate, innovate, and respond to real community needs? Are you ready to lead leaders—while shaping the future of services for youth?

If so, this role may be for you.

Street Culture Project is hiring a Director – Programs & Community Partnerships to provide strategic oversight to our core youth programs while leading initiatives that expand SCP’s community connections, partnerships, and impact. This role bridges internal program leadership with external systems-building—ensuring our work is both stable today and sustainable for the future.

What You’ll Do

This role is intentionally balanced between program leadership and community growth. You will support and oversee Program Managers while also helping SCP expand its reach, resources, and collaborative capacity.

You’ll:

  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership to Program Managers across RCY, YTU, Treehouse, YSHORE, and Mentorship

  • Support managers with supervision, coaching, problem-solving, and capacity-building

  • Ensure mentorship and youth programs meet or exceed industry standards and best practices

  • Ensure programs operate in compliance with agency policies, procedures, and guidelines

  • Oversee program budgets and support the financial health and sustainability of services

  • Ensure contractual obligations and funder requirements are consistently met or exceeded

  • Work with community organizations to optimize shared resources and coordinated supports for youth

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships that expand opportunities for youth to survive and thrive

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on proposals, contracts, and new service opportunities

  • Conduct gap analyses to identify unmet needs and recommend new programs or services

  • Develop innovative solutions and initiatives for program growth and development

  • Create community connections that increase collaboration, resource sharing, and awareness of SCP

  • Represent SCP in community tables, partnerships, and strategic forums

What You Bring:

You are a systems-thinker who leads with both strategy and care. You understand programs, people, and partnerships—and how to align them for impact.

  • A degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • 5+ years of experience in community-based or youth-serving environments

  • Experience supervising managers or supervisors

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed, youth-centred, and harm-reduction approaches

  • Demonstrated success building and sustaining community partnerships

  • Ability to analyze service gaps and translate insight into action

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills

  • Comfort navigating complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities

  • Experience contributing to proposals, contracts, or program expansion initiatives

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid SK Driver’s License with clean abstract

  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance

  • Familiarity with SCP’s core approaches: Harm Reduction, Youth-Centred Care, Nurtured Heart, and Trauma-Informed Practice

Why Work With Us?

At SCP, programs do not exist in isolation—they are part of a broader community ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to shape not only how programs operate, but how they connect, grow, and evolve alongside the youth we serve.

You’ll be part of a leadership team committed to collaboration, learning, and systems-level impact.

We offer:

  • A workplace rooted in purpose, learning, and community

  • Full benefit package (health, dental, vision, mental wellness, life insurance)

  • Matching RRSP contributions

  • Flexibility, growth opportunities, and a chance to make your mark

  • The satisfaction of knowing your work matters—every day

Sound like a fit?

Send us your resume and a cover letter. We can’t wait to meet you.

SCP is committed to reflecting the diversity of the youth we serve. We strongly encourage Indigenous applicants and individuals from marginalized communities to apply.
