Job Description - Director, Operations Strategy & Insights

Based at Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of practice performance at scale. As a pivotal member of the team, you will lead the design and execution of innovative strategies that unlock growth, streamline operations, optimize costs, and elevate productivity across the network. You will help define what best in class looks like, introducing forward thinking solutions, driving enterprise-wide improvements, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement that delivers lasting results.

 
In this role, you will

Enterprise Strategy & Decision Support

  • Partner with executive leadership to define and execute enterprise strategies aligned with long-term value creation.

  • Lead structured analyses to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and margin expansion initiatives.

  • Develop executive-ready recommendations, business cases, and strategic frameworks to inform critical decisions.

Performance Transformation & Operational Excellence

  • Conduct end-to-end assessments of business processes to identify performance gaps and value-creation opportunities.

  • Design and lead transformation initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in productivity, cost efficiency, and scalability.

  • Establish performance management mechanisms to sustain results.

Analytics, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

  • Apply advanced analytics, forecasting, and scenario modeling to support enterprise planning and investment decisions.

  • Translate complex data into clear insights on risks, trade-offs, and future outcomes.

  • Enable leadership to make data-driven decisions under uncertainty.

Executive Performance Management

  • Define and oversee enterprise KPIs and dashboards to track performance across functions.

  • Deliver concise, insight-driven reporting to senior leadership, highlighting implications and recommended actions.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Lead cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Field organizations.

  • Influence without authority to align stakeholders, drive consensus, and ensure disciplined execution.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Coach and develop high-performing teams, building analytical and strategic capabilities across the organization.

  • Foster a culture of rigorous thinking, continuous improvement, and results orientation.

Technology & Analytics Enablement

  • Evaluate and implement analytics tools and methodologies that enhance insight generation and decision effectiveness.

Field Execution & Network Alignment

  • Partner with field teams to translate strategy into executable plans and ensure consistent implementation across the network

What we’re looking for

  • MBA, CPA, or MS strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, analytics, or operations transformation is required

  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business impact.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, including quantitative modeling and data synthesis.

  • Ability to distill complex issues into clear insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively.

  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders through structured, insight-driven storytelling.

  • Advanced proficiency in analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau); broader analytics experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead across multiple sites and functions in complex, matrixed organizations.

  • Experience in healthcare, retail, or similarly scaled environments preferred.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 annually. Offers within this range are determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, as well as internal equity considerations.
