Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Director of Packaging Development to join our team at Tim Hortons. The Director of Packaging Development will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic development and execution of packaging initiatives that support our brand's growth objectives, enhance guest experiences, and align with our commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement packaging strategies that align with Tim Hortons' brand identity, product offerings, and sustainability goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team in the design, development, and testing of packaging solutions for various food and beverage products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, supply chain, and operations, to ensure packaging requirements are met while maintaining cost efficiency and operational feasibility.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, consumer preferences, and regulatory requirements related to packaging materials, design, and sustainability.
  • Drive innovation in packaging materials, formats, and technologies to improve functionality, reduce environmental impact, and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Manage relationships with packaging suppliers, vendors, and partners to source high-quality materials and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Oversee packaging testing and validation processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety regulations, and brand specifications.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics, tracking key milestones and deliverables.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for packaging development team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Food Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of [Insert Number] years of experience in packaging development or related roles within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a quick-service restaurant environment.
