Description of the Position


The Director Sales & Fundraising Analytics (titled: Director, Development Analytics) is a senior, revenue-impact leadership role focused on turning data into action. Acting as a strategic partner to fundraising, corporate, and community teams, this role drives smarter targeting, sharper decision-making, and more personalized engagement—ensuring fundraising teams focus their time on the highest-value opportunities and execute the right ask at the right moment.


As a leader within the Business Intelligence & Analytics function, the Director owns both execution and in-year strategy. They lead and coach a high-performing team of researchers and data analysts to translate complex data into clear, prescriptive actions that directly influence pipeline performance, portfolio strategy, and campaign outcomes.


This is a builder role for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, strategy, and execution. The Director designs and scales analytics products—such as comprehensive donor and prospect profiles, performance dashboards, and campaign KPIs—using modern cloud tools (e.g., Power BI) to deliver fast, trusted insights to leaders and frontline teams.


Equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up their sleeves, the Director leads by example, partners closely with stakeholders, and drives measurable results in a mission-driven, growth-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities


You will:



  • Serve as principal advisor to the Development team (Fundraising) on performance, risk/opportunity, and data-driven decisions.

  • Develop and deliver analytics solutions (revenue performance, sales pipeline analytics, sales funnel conversion, sales workforce productivity and optimization, etc.) that are aligned to organizational pillars—supporting sustainable revenue, targeted innovation, and stronger long-term relationships.

  • Produce executive-ready personas and action-based strategies and tactics

  • Strengthen prospect pipeline through prospecting models, lead scoring, and portfolio optimization.

  • Build and steward enterprise KPI frameworks for campaign and journey performance; standardize definitions and reporting cadences for leadership and lines of business.

  • Leverage sales and customer analytics techniques to better understand donor behaviour and attributes that drive capacity, affinity, and inclination.

  • Apply social network analysis to quantify the breadth, strength, and influence of relationships, and build a robust self-service process that makes these insights easy to use.

  • Lead development of self-serve dashboards and scorecards; ensure documentation and UAT for enterprise reporting.

  • Use GenAI and BigData principles to innovate and continuously improve efficiency.

  • Partner with Data Science & Engineering to create centralized datamarts.

  • Collaborate with fundraising teams to strengthen data capture, standardization, and hygiene; maintain feedback loops for continuous improvement.

  • Lead and coach a high-performing team of analysts and researchers

  • Build strong partnerships with Donor Experience, fundraising to align priorities and deliver measurable impact.


Qualifications


While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree an asset.

  • 10+ years in customer analytics roles including 3+ years leading teams and cross-functional programs.

  • Experience building analytic solutions and research for sales and/or fundraising functions

  • Exceptional at synthesizing qualitative and quantitative research into clear stories and recommendations for executives and front-line fundraisers.

  • Proven experience building KPI frameworks, dashboards, and analytics products on modern cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI). 

  • Experience using big data tools or AI to create automated data collection from APIs, websites to build customer profiles and better understand customer behaviour.

  • Working knowledge of prospect research best practices and tools for capacity/affinity estimation; experience with wealth/philanthropic screening workflows.

  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; adept at influencing stakeholders and guiding decisions

  • Strong PowerBI and SQL proficiency

  • Strong leader with the ability to coach a team through growth.

  •  Growth mindset and a track record of innovation and thought leadership

  • Ability to leverage GenAI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, AzureAI, Agents, RAG, etc.) to enhance productivity.

Total Compensation Package


Expected Hiring Salary Range: is $140,853 – $165,958; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $190,853. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Director, Sales & Fundraising Analytics role.

Position Status: Permanent Full-Time;


Hours: Hybrid work model: minimum two days per week in-office (Tuesday and Wednesday).
