Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch shipments efficiently and accurately. This position plays a vital role in the order-fulfillment process by ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, monitoring service activities, and maintaining accurate records. The Dispatcher also serves as a key point of contact for escalated issues and may provide training and certification for dispatch associates.

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (must be available all 5 days)

• Shift: 40 hours per week

• Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

• Shift Duration: 8 hours per day (flexibility with start and end times required)

• Location: 4150 Mainway, Burlington, ON L7L 0A6

• Compensation: $21.42 CAD per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor service order activities to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.

• Update and maintain reports and dispatch records as required.

• Track inbound and outbound equipment, documenting departure times, destinations, cargo details, and expected return times.

• Monitor scheduled versus actual equipment usage, addressing discrepancies as necessary.

• Investigate and follow up on overdue shipments.

• Serve as a Senior Dispatcher, providing training and certification for dispatch associates.

• Receive and resolve escalated dispatch issues, proposing solutions and escalating to higher management when appropriate.

• Work with enterprise dispatching systems to support efficient order-fulfillment operations.

• Should be able to lift 50 lbs without assistance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent required.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service and/or dispatch within transportation, distribution, or order-fulfillment industries.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Reliable transportation is required as limited bus service is available in the evenings.
