We are looking for self-motivated Distribution Engineer to join us in the exciting work we do in ATCO Electricity.
Reporting to the Supervising Engineer, this position is responsible for ATCO Electric’s 25kV operational planning of the distribution grid. This area of responsibility will require technical skills in distribution civil design, electrical design and distribution power systems planning.
Experience in doing 25kV overhead/underground design is desirable. There is an opportunity to do either role in this position.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or equivalent) from an accredited University.
Professional Engineer or Professional Licensee designation. Licensure with APEGA is required.
A minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Strong technical skills in civil structure and electrical design.
Experience with PLS-CADD or other power line modelling software is an asset.
Experience with CYME or other system modelling software is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and organization skills in addition to strong written and verbal communication skills.
A valid Alberta driver’s license (Class 5).
