Job Description - Driver

Job Purpose:

Our Fort St. John Production Chemicals team seeks a full-time Class 3 or 5 driver. This position is responsible for safely securing and hauling totes, pails, and drums. The successful individual should have experience transporting dangerous goods per federal guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Maintain an accurate and detailed electronic logbook in accordance with federal driving requirements.

Properly secure and inspect equipment and trucks to ensure safe travel and load securement.

Keep equipment clean and complete routine maintenance.

Operate equipment safely and effectively to prevent the risk of injury and/or property damage.

Work in adherence to safe work practices, procedures and work site or traffic laws.

Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies:

The individual in this role will have:

Experienced Deck Truck driver with a Valid Class 3 or 5 Drivers license and clean abstract

Valid Safety Tickets (H2S, First Aid).

Strong familiarity with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations.

Proficient with electronic logbooks, permits, and federal driving requirements.

Reside within the Fort St. John area along with a familiarity with local roads and work sites.

Commitment to working safely and following safety protocol.

Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated.

Strong detail orientation with computer skills.

Solid communication and customer service skills.
