Drywall Installer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Drywall Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or commercial drywall installation, including hanging, finishing, and repairing drywall to a high standard of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings


• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications


• Secure drywall to metal or wood framing using appropriate tools and fasteners


• Tape, mud, and finish drywall seams, corners, and joints


• Apply texture and smooth finishes as required


• Repair damaged or defective drywall


• Install insulation, vapor barriers, and soundproofing materials as needed


• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site


• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades


• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional drywall installation experience


• Proficiency with drywall tools (taping knives, sanders, lifts, screw guns, etc.)


• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, materials, and finishing techniques


• Ability to read and understand construction plans


• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights


• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship


• Reliable transportation and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both residential and commercial projects


• Knowledge of fire-rated and moisture-resistant drywall systems


• OSHA safety training or equivalent certification


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor construction sites


• Exposure to dust, noise, and construction materials


• Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion required
