Job Description - Due Diligence Analyst

As Marqeta’s Due Diligence Analyst you will play a critical role in evaluating programs, assessing regulatory and operational risks, and supporting senior management in informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multiple stakeholders.


We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remotely anywhere within Ontario or British Columbia, Canada. We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have



  • Conduct thorough program due diligence, including financial, operational, regulatory, and reputational assessments.

  • Support the Program Enablement team with onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and periodic reviews.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, Finance, and Operations to gather data and insights.

  • Develop and maintain risk assessment frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools to track program performance and health.

  • Prepare clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

  • Track regulatory developments and ensure due diligence processes align with current requirements.

  • Lead or assist in special projects, including risk remediation, contract reviews, and audit preparation.

  • Partner with those internal business units to perform ongoing risk assessments of Marqeta’s Programs

  • Coordinate with Marqeta’s Issuing Banks in the U.S., Canada, UK and Europe to ensure that Marqeta is compliant with each Bank’s requirements for Customer. 

  • Continuously evolve Marqeta’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework, considering business opportunities, industry trends, and regulatory changes.


Who You Are



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; Master’s preferred.

  • 3–5+ years of experience in due diligence, vendor risk management, compliance, or related roles.

  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with risk management tools, workflow systems, and data analysis platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Must be customer focused to ensure a smooth due diligence process throughout our customer’s journey

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks in the US, Canada and EU  is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in CAD,  is: 64,300 - 80,400
