E&I Director

Build a business. Not just run one.



A well-established industrial services provider in Alberta is looking for a Director to lead and grow it's Electrical & Instrumentation business, and this isn't a caretaker role.



The business already has strong client relationships, talented technical people, and executive commitment behind it. What it needs now is a leader who can transform those ingredients into the premier industrial E&I service provider across Alberta and beyond.



The Opportunity



This is an executive-level mandate. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you'll take full ownership of the E&I business — its strategy, structure, growth, and results.



You'll develop and execute a long-term growth plan, pursue major strategic contracts, and build the organization needed to deliver on them. You'll present with confidence at the executive level, and know when to lead from the front and when to roll up your sleeves.



This is a role for someone who's done this before — or who has clearly driven something similar and is ready for a bigger stage.



What You'll Own



You'll inherit a capable team, but you'll decide what the organization should become. That means shaping the strategy, designing the structure, mentoring technical leaders, strengthening client relationships, supporting major pursuits, and ensuring the technical credibility behind every proposal and project.



What Success Looks Like



You've built or significantly grown a division, business unit, or company, and can point to the results. You know the Alberta industrial electrical market — the competitors, the labour landscape, what it takes to win and deliver large-scale work — and you move comfortably across union, open shop, and alternative labour models.



A trades background is preferred, though strong engineering backgrounds are welcome too. What matters most is the ability to bridge technical credibility with business leadership.
