POSITION SUMMARY

The Edge Bander Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining our edge banding machine to produce high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in machine operation, along with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate the edge banding machine according to work orders and specifications.


• Load raw materials onto the machine and monitor the production process to ensure proper bending and cutting.


• Adjust machine settings and controls as necessary to achieve desired results.


• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and make adjustments as needed.


• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines to ensure optimal performance.


• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues that may arise during operation.


• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, materials used, and any production issues encountered.


• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.


• Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.


• Continuously monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of machine operations and suggest improvements.


• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating edge banding machines in a manufacturing setting.


• Experience with different types of materials commonly used in edge banding (e.g., metal, wood, plastic) is a plus.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.


• Familiarity with operating edge banding machines, including setting up and adjusting machine parameters.


• Ability to perform quality checks and make adjustments to ensure products meet specifications.


• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.


• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs


• Attention to detail

WORK CONDITIONS

• Full-time Hours: 7:00 am to 3:45 pm Monday-Friday.


• Required to stand for extended periods of time.


• Will be required to work in a production environment with loud noises.


• Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.
