Editorial Designer Proposals

You are An Editorial Designer. 

Location: Toronto  

This role prioritizes precision, speed, and polish, and expects consistently high-quality work. You will bring visual storytelling to life by transforming content into polished, on-brand proposals. You are someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the importance of brand alignment, and can balance content with creativity and structure. Working collaboratively with the Growth team, you’ll elevate how ChangeMakers shows up in every new business opportunity.  

You will be expected to work from the downtown Toronto office for a minimum of three days per week.  

**Portfolio is required for the submission of this role** 

What Are Your Responsibilities? 

• Design, format, and finalize high-stakes proposals in PowerPoint

• Turn rough content into clean, professional, on-brand documents fast 

• Apply layouts, styles, tables, charts, and graphics with absolute consistency 

• Catch errors others miss—formatting, alignment, spacing, numbers, and text 

• Handle last-minute changes calmly and accurately under tight deadlines 

Must have:  

• A strong portfolio showcasing  editorial samples from previous roles, especially proposals, presentations, and document-based work  

• 3+ years of experience as an editorial or proposal designer in an agency, corporate, or consulting environment  

• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Keynote and Adobe Suite 

• Strong understanding of layout, visual hierarchy, typography, and branding  

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines  

What Type of Qualities and Qualifications Should I Have? 

• Expert-level PowerPoint skills

• Extremely fast, obsessively detail-oriented work style 

• Proficiency in written English 

• Strong eye for design, hierarchy, and readability 

• Highly technical understanding of styles, templates, and document structure 

• Accuracy above all else—this is mission-critical work

The Canada base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Our salary ranges are determined by job and level. Within the range, individual compensation is determined by job-related skills and knowledge, relevant experience including professional and lived experience, and/or work location.
