As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance activities, and diagnostic work on industrial electrical equipment to ensure its reliability, performance, and safe operation.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE



  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance activities on industrial electrical equipment such as switchboards, motors, transformers, control circuits, and wiring systems.

  • Identify electrical issues, signs of wear, and potential risks using electrical testing instruments, electrical drawings, and diagnostic tools.

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, including inspections, adjustments, component replacements, and testing of electrical equipment.

  • Participate in corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and the safe recommissioning of equipment following maintenance activities.

  • Adjust, calibrate, or reprogram selected electrical components and automated control systems to ensure optimal performance.

  • Document completed work, record inspection results, and prepare technical reports with recommendations.

  • Use our maintenance management system to plan, track, and document completed work.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to equipment reliability.

  • Support specialized diagnostic activities, such as infrared thermography and ultrasonic analysis, as required.

  • Comply with electrical safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment.


 


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL



  • DEC in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance Technology, or Electrotechnology.

  • 1–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, ideally in an industrial environment.

  • Possess a Class C license – non-construction.

  • Proficient in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and live working procedures.

  • Familiar with industrial electrical systems and diagnostic tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in French.

  • Written and verbal communication skills in English are an asset.


WORK LOCATION: Kirkland, QC (This position requires travel, primarily within Quebec, as well as in Eastern Canada and the United States. You must be available to travel up to 50% of the working time)
