Electrical Maintenance Technician

Our client, a leading electronic manufacturing firm, is currently looking for a Electrical Maintenince Technician to join their growing team. The Electrical/Electronic Maintenance Technician (EMT) is responsible for maintaining the systems of electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems that are functioning within the manufacturing plant. The EMT identifies conducts preventative maintenance and manages building infrastructure issues and repairs equipment which can include the replacement of parts control systems, motors and other equipment.

RequirementsAssess technical issues within the plant on a daily basis. Conduct regular preventative maintenance. Regularly review blueprints and technical diagrams for the plant. Maintain wiring, controls and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools Follow provincial and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment Perform other related activities as assigned.

QualificationsHigh school diploma Health and Safety Training Works well under pressure and meets set deadlines. Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills. Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer. Overtime as required.
