PHASOR Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing / commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup.  

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Red Seal certified Journeyman Electrician to join our Fabrication & Construction services team on a full-time basis. If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process.

Position Overview 

Phasor Engineering Inc. is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support construction, installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities for industrial, utility, and substation projects. This role involves working on medium- and high-voltage systems and collaborating closely with engineers, technologists, and field teams. 

Responsibilities 

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment 

• Perform wiring, conduit installation, cable tray installation, and terminations 

• Assist with substation construction and electrical infrastructure projects 

• Support protection & control panel installations and field wiring 

• Conduct testing and verification of electrical systems 

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications 

• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and electrical codes 

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and commissioning teams 

• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed 

Qualifications 

• Journeyman Electrician certification with Red Seal Certification 

• Experience in industrial, utility, or substation environments preferred 

• Familiarity with medium- and high-voltage systems is an asset 

• Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety practices 

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics 

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills 

Preferred Assets 

• Experience with transmission & distribution projects 

• Substation construction or commissioning experience 

• Fall protection, first aid, and safety certifications 

• Experience working in energized environments 

       Typical shifts will range from 4/3, 8/6, 10/4, and 14/7. 

Working hours are generally from 7am - 5:30pm at 10hrs/day. 

Daily work hours and shifts are subject to change based on project requirements, applicants must be flexible to accommodate these changes when required.
