Your Impact

In this role, the successful Electronics Technologist candidate will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair monitoring devices utilized by power utilities, heavy industry, and electrical transmission & distribution operations worldwide.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

  • Complete manufacturing assembly tasks per required specification.
  • Inspect soldering of circuit boards.
  • Test circuit boards and instrumentation/products.
  • Carry out the troubleshooting and repair of “out of specification” products.
  • Assist in the preparation and assembly of instruments, cables, and components, as demand requires.
  • Perform high-voltage testing of components and instrumentation.
  • Ensure quality of products at all levels.
  • Ensure OTD (On Time Delivery) of products manufactured.
  • Ensure that work instructions are accurate and well maintained.
  • Participate in troubleshooting meetings and help maintain repair PCB board levels.

 

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 2-year College Diploma.
  • Use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and signal generators.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Read and understand drawings and assembly procedures.
  • General mechanical aptitude/assembly experience is an asset.

 

Preferred Skills

  • 2–3 year Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technician/Technology.
  • 2 years of post-graduate electronic troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 2 years of post-graduate electronic manufacturing/production experience.
  •  

Working Conditions

  • Production work cell/lab environment.
  • Frequently working with 120VAC/240VAC and high voltage >30kV.
  • Occasionally lifting <50 lbs.
  • No travel required in this role.
