JOB TITLE Elite Support Services Group Lead
REPORTS TO Elite Support Services Manager
MAIN OBJECTIVE Assist Elite Support Services Manager and Team Coordinator in all aspects of client development and supervision.
JOB OVERVIEW
Working alongside Elite Support Services Manager and Team Coordinator to develop scheduling activities, promote a positive work environment for clients and staff, motivate staff, supervise staff, transport clients to outings, and work with clients as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Actively engaged in clients progress and participation in activities
Ensure activities are planned around the client’s input and interests while keeping in mind that activities are designed to increase a person’s independent living skills
Daily activity and progress records for individuals are completed and accurate
Reassign individuals when staff are out
Ensure completion of any incident reports are completed and forwarded to Group Coordinator/Manager
Check messages and return calls to ensure no group calls are missed
Communicate all complaints or issues to manager and take notes
Assist staff in preparing, implementing, and updating programs for clients
Ensure that all programs meet the Home Support Service Standards/ESSP standards
Arrange lunch and break schedule
Keep records on sick time and vacation in absence of Group Coordinator
Maintain open communication with staff
Be aware of the clients’ needs, which include but not limited to: catheter/ colostomy care, adjusting food portions, and personal care
Handle difficult situations with unbiased tact and calmness
Handle the sharing of information with cautiousness, ensuring confidentiality is never compromised
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Human Services, Personal Support Worker, Health Care Aid and/or other related disciplines
Ability to supervise other staff with tact and diplomacy, ensuring smooth running of groups and care of individuals
NECESSARY TRAINING:
First Aid and CPR
Lift and Transfer
Universal precaution for the prevention of transmitting of infections or Communicable Diseases
Autism Training
Mandt or Nonviolence Crisis Intervention
Personal Care Workshop
