As we continue to grow and expand our product offerings, we are seeking a talented Engineering Project Coordinator to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Engineering Project coordinator plays a critical role in project tracking, planning, capacity estimation, dependency analysis and building forecasts for engineering deliverables. This position requires experience in planning and coordination, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in engineering processes. The Engineering Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain best practices for project management and drive a culture of execution excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Drive a culture change to develop and propagate best practices in bottom-up estimation, dependency analysis, risk tracking, and delivery forecast.
- Support robust quality assurance processes, including design reviews, implementation reviews, risk assessments, and test plans traced back to product requirements.
- Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements, leveraging industry best practices.
- Identify trends and help achieve data-driven decision-making.
Knowledge of existing systems and tools:
- As a key member of the Engineering team, participate in building a deep knowledge of Products and Systems.
- Capture the existing development process details and help identify plans for process improvements.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential schedule risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to prevent unanticipated delays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 4-8 years of experience in engineering project management, preferably in the products involving mechanicals, electricals, and embedded software.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certifications.
- Proven track record of leading initiatives and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to embedded products (e.g., ISO, IEC, TUV, UL) would be a plus.
- Six Sigma, Lean engineering, or other process certifications are a plus.
