Your Opportunity



As Triton continues to grow, we are seeking highly motivated and passionate Environmental Project Coordinators to join our well-established team of environmental professionals!


 


This is the perfect opportunity if you have hands-on fieldwork consulting experience and are ready to take the next step in launching your project management or environmental planning career. In this role, you’ll be mentored by experienced project managers while getting the opportunity to contribute to some diverse, meaningful, and interesting projects. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your client management skills and participate in some exciting business development initiatives.



Your Impact




  • Assisting with project scheduling and ongoing management of staff and equipment schedules

  • Assisting with the preparation of client invoicing

  • Tracking project budgets, expenses, and progress benchmarks

  • Monitoring subcontractor contracts and performance

  • Coordinating travel logistics, such as flights, camp or accommodations bookings, and shuttles

  • Working with all stakeholders to ensure milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time

  • Planning and organizing project reviews, stakeholder meetings, and events

  • Ensuring project quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures are followed

  • Administering field health and safety programs and ensure project and company safety requirements are met

  • Ensuring regular reporting and communications are maintained that strengthen relationships with clients

  • Contributing to proposal writing, data/records management, and mandatory reporting

  • Managing field equipment booking and organization

  • Extracting data from project databases and developing data tables

  • Completing document reviews and assist with the submission of technical reports

  • Attending project team meetings/conference calls and prepare and distribute minutes

  • Assisting with onboarding of new staff members, including scheduling orientations and briefing on project requirements


 


Your Skills & Experience




  • Degree or technical diploma in a related science (e.g., biology, environmental science, geology, geography) is an asset

  • 2+ years in a related role (e.g., project assistant/coordinator) with project experience in a consulting environment

  • Experienced in project management best practices for project tracking and cost-accounting needs, able to produce up-to-date status reports as required

  • Proven abilities in coordination, maintaining project and document controls, data management, and submitting project reports

  • Organized and self-managed, able to deliver on time in a diverse and often demanding multi-project environment with a high level of attention to detail

  • A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes

  • Effective writing skills, and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to address challenges quickly with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships

  • A positive and energetic demeanor

  • Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting

Your Compensation



Wages are commensurate with experience and qualifications, with approximate wage range of $30 to $40 per hour.


 


Location, Work Schedule & Flexibility



With offices across British Columbia and Alberta this position can be in any of our office locationsTriton promotes and encourages a collaborative team culture; with a hybrid work schedule (i.e., three days per week in the office) supported.


 


If you live in any of these office locations, you may be given hiring preference. However, if you live elsewhere in BC or AB, you are still encouraged to apply, as a remote working schedule with periodic office travel may be considered.
