Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring an Equipment Operator for work in Vernon. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of the Zoom Boom and Skid Steer on a commercial construction site.
Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely operate equipment such as skid steers, zoom booms and other equipment as requiredLoad and unload construction materials and move material to work areasComplete daily inspections of equipment and communicate any concerns with the SuperintendentBackfill, Grading and other duties as requiredCircle and inspect equipment. Complete inspection log and check area for hazardsMaintain a clean and safe vehiclePerform additional job assignments as directed by SuperintendentRepresent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful mannerAdhere to Clark Builders policies and proceduresSkills and Knowledge:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tasks in an effective, organized manner, ability to multitaskStrong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detailBasic mechanical knowledge or skill for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspectionsDemonstrate a high level of safety awareness and a clear understanding of equipment safetyAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditionsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExperience utilizing buckets, forks and other attachmentsFully trained and competent in the operation of Zoom Boom and Skid SteerQualifications:
Be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 lbs, sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on rough terrainValid certification for Zoom Boom and Skid SteerValid first aid certificate an assetValid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.What's in it for you?

Wage Range: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.
