The expected annual salary range for this role is $73000 - $91000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. As part of the two-year ETLDP program, you will have the opportunity to accelerate your skill development in two fast-growing technology areas. DERMS also provides a foundation for faster development of innovative energy products. Develop algorithms for power grid measurement and protection applications, as well as algorithms for Edge controllers for grid-connected distributed energy resources, in line with product-specific requirements. Validate designs using real-time C-HIL simulation systems such as OPAL-RT and Typhoon HIL. Analyze, design, and participate in testing and debugging of control system algorithms. Apply engineering best practices and decision-making for advanced technical problem-solving. CYME has built a strong reputation for technical expertise and diligent customer service. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Power Systems Engineer will contribute to research, design, prototyping, validation, and documentation of new features for CYME's power network analysis software solutions. Design complex software features for power network engineering through algorithm and calculation method development. Participate in all stages of new software feature development: specification analysis, research and prototyping, design documentation, support for software developers during implementation, validation, and user documentation. Collaborate with software developers throughout development phases. Work with the quality assurance team to identify product quality gaps and automate validation. Provide second-level technical support to users. Offer expertise in power network analysis during new software feature development and custom client projects. Être légalement autorisé à travailler au Canada sans parrainage de l'entreprise. Diplôme universitaire de deuxième ou troisième cycle en génie électrique d'un établissement agréé. Diplôme universitaire de l'Institut de génie électrique (IGEE). Connaissance des logiciels de simulation tels que CYME, EMTP, MATLAB/Simulink. Connaissances en mathématiques: algèbre linéaire et calculs numériques. Connaissances de base en dynamique des systèmes et conception de contrôleurs. Connaissance du langage de programmation : Python, C, C++ Deliver high-quality work with strong attention to detail. Work collaboratively and demonstrate strong communication skills. Work efficiently and show strong problem-solving abilities. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Proficiency in English and French (professional level). Both languages are required to communicate with colleagues and partners inside and outside Quebec and to understand technical documentation in our industry. Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. Graduate degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Degree from the Institut de génie électrique (IGEE). Knowledge of simulation software such as CYME, EMTP, MATLAB/Simulink. Strong math skills: linear algebra and numerical calculations. Basic knowledge of system dynamics and controller design. Programming language knowledge: Python, C, C++.
