Excavator Operators

Wilco is currently seeking Excavator Operators to join our diverse and dynamic team Located In Edmonton and Area.

Our Excavator Operators will have the opportunity to work on various projects across the Greater Edmonton and area and collaborate with our experienced team to build quality infrastructure, while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment. Competency evaluations will be scheduled prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate Excavator as it applies to loading trucks, cut to fill, trenching, ditching, sloping, etc.;
• Conduct pre-shift/post-shift walk-around safety inspections;
• Log and report any maintenance concerns with the equipment (Nektar);
• Complete field level risk / hazard assessments prior to task and as task changes;
• Understand and adhere to all policies, safety procedures and standards, and actively participate in team meetings;
• Complete production reporting and other documentation as required;
• Communicate effectively using hand signal and eye contact method;

• Must have 5+ years equipment experience.
• Ability to run other pieces of equipment considered an asset.
• Must be capable of finish grading.
• Must be able to interpret survey stakes.
• Ability to work as a team as well as independently.
• Capable of operating under numerous and varied job site situations.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must have reliable Vehicle.
