Job Title: Experienced Coatings Specialist & Pavement Maintenance Technician

Location: Hamilton, Niagara, Toronto

Job Type: Full-time

Overview: Everline Coatings, Hamilton-Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pavement Maintenance Technician & Coatings Specialist. Experience in epoxy and various coatings is an asset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and applying various coating solutions for a variety of commercial, residential, and recreational projects. You will work closely with customers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, durable coatings are applied and perform as expected.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply and install epoxy and acrylic coatings on a wide range of surfaces including floors, walls, and outdoor courts.

Work with project teams to assess job requirements, surface conditions, and recommend the appropriate coating solutions.

Ensure proper preparation and application of coatings, including mixing, testing, and adjusting materials as needed.

Collaborate with sales and project management teams to review specifications and ensure customer satisfaction with coating applications.

Conduct on-site inspections to ensure coating installations meet quality standards and industry guidelines.

Provide technical expertise on product selection, application techniques, and maintenance of epoxy and acrylic coatings.

Perform maintenance and repair services for previously coated surfaces, including resurfacing and re-coating when required.

Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment needed for coating applications.

Troubleshoot issues related to coating performance and provide recommendations for resolution.

Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and innovations in coating technologies.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a painter and/or coatings applicator is an asset

Strong understanding of surface preparation, mixing, and application techniques.

Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets, product specifications, and application guidelines.

Experience with surface testing and problem-solving related to coating adhesion, curing, and durability.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to travel to job sites and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Strong Leadership qualities

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in coatings applications or related field (considered an asset)

Knowledge of other specialty coatings for commercial or industrial surfaces.

Experience in maintenance and repair of asphalt and concrete

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (outdoors, in confined spaces, etc.).

Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods of time during installations.
