Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator

Milestone Equipment Contracting Inc is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, to support the efficient execution of civil construction projects. Working closely with our construction crew, the Heavy Equipment Operator will play a key role in ensuring that equipment is utilized effectively and tasks are completed with precision and adherence to project specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience operating heavy equipment in a civil construction setting and a commitment to upholding safety standards at all times. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, to support civil construction projects.


• Safely and efficiently maneuver equipment to perform tasks such as digging, grading, and moving materials according to project specifications.


• Conduct routine equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.


• Collaborate with construction crew members to coordinate tasks and facilitate project progression.


• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for oneself and others on the job site.


• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns related to equipment operation or project requirements.


• Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, completing tasks in a timely and efficient manner.


• Assist with site preparation, layout, and cleanup as needed to support project objectives.


• Document work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents or safety hazards encountered during operations.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience operating heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, in a civil construction or similar setting is typically required.

• Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of equipment operation techniques, safety protocols, and construction principles relevant to civil construction projects.
