Facilities Expert

Provide feedback and guidance to process engineers using Symmetry. Troubleshoot customers' simulation cases and installations. Understand customer objectives to facilitate the best use of Symmetry's features and capabilities. Act as a liaison between the customer and the development team to incorporate users' needs and feedback on ways to improve Symmetry. Develop simulation models featuring common processes important to our client base. Develop and update of both internal and external documentation. Design and execute tests for new software features. Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Recent graduate or a maximum of 2 years of experience with process simulation, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Familiarity with VBA programming is a plus. Understanding of thermodynamics and underlying principles for unit operations and process equipment. Attention to details and creative problem solver. Self-starter with solid communication skills (interpersonal, written & presentation). Creativity to come up with practical solutions when no out-of-the-box solutions are available. Ability to translate areas of opportunity from customers' needs into tangible software feature specifications. Ability to rapidly switch activities and meet deadlines. Ability to work under little supervision. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional team members, world-wide offices, and key stakeholders. Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Recent graduate or a maximum of 2 years of experience with process simulation, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Dynamics simulation experience is a plus. Experience with VMGSim or Symmetry is preferable. Familiarity with VBA programming is a plus. Understanding of thermodynamics and underlying principles for unit operations and process equipment.
