POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary role of the Facility Person will be to support the maintenance department in maintaining all material handling duties, managing garbage, managing hazardous waste, manage cleaning, and support on special projects.  Maintain a high standard in meeting our customer expectations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Pre-inspect handling equipment prior to use and maintains inspection log.
• Ability to safety operate and maintain handling equipment.
• Perform garbage removal for the plant and mange garbage bins and the surrounding area.
• Load and unload parts / racks / crates / pallets securely to / from trucks.
• Manager all hazardous waste and keep a log of pickups.
• Pick up and deliver acetone to recycler of recycling.
• Drains and de=caps drums as instructed.
• Perform plant cleaning as assigned.
• Assist maintenance team with material handling project s required.
• Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing and 5’s programs for materials.
• Perform data entry duties as required.
• Maintain, organize, and clean company yard when required / instructed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written as essential. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
