What you will be doing:
As a Family Connector (FC), you will provide in-home and community-based support to vulnerable children and families who have Children and Family Services involvement. Your caseload will comprise primarily of Indigenous families and individuals who have experienced trauma and multigenerational abuse and neglect. Operating on a flexible work schedule which includes regular evenings and weekends, you will build therapeutic relationships with parents through the use of basic counselling skills and a trauma informed care approach; thereby increasing capacity and executive functioning. You will work as a member of a collaborative team and are ultimately responsible for the coordination, initiation and mobilization of internal and external resources required to meet the service plan objective as determined with Children and Family Services and the families we work with.
