CALL FOR STUDENT MEMBERS: FINANCE COMMITTEE

Apply to join the CCSAI Finance Committee!

The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the CCSAI Board of Directors, responsible for reviewing the organization's financial management, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and making recommendations regarding financial policies, expenditures, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviews current CCSAI financial policies, reports and practices and recommending necessary updates.

- Assists in the development of the annual budget and making recommendations to the Board.

- Ensures financial policies are aligned with CCSAI’s strategic goals and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

- Reviews audit reports and statements, and identify financial risks.

- Prepares quarterly financial reports to the Board of Directors.

- Engages in monthly committee meetings and working groups.

- Ensures all financial decisions align with CCSAI’s mission, bylaws, and long-term sustainability goals.

Who We’re Looking For:

We are recruiting 3-5 students-at-large to join this committee.

Must be a full-time Centennial College student with at least 2 semesters remaining in their program.

We especially encourage students who:

- Has an interest in finance and business operation

- Studies in one of the business programs at Centennial or has completed an accounting course before

- Priority will be given to individuals who have prior accounting experience; however, training and mentorship will be provided.

- Interests in budgeting, financial management, and/or financial policies is an asset.

Honorarium:

· Student-at-large members receive a $100/month honorarium

· Honorariums are based on active participation and attendance

Key Details:

· Commitment: One meeting per month (plus additional initiatives and training as needed)

· Term: November 3, 2025 - April 30, 2026
