FINANCE SUPPORT CLERK
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Assistant is a full-time contract position with possible extension. This position requires the candidate to perform detail-oriented and time-sensitive tasks, and a need to verify every aspect of a document before filing it into the company's filing systems. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Finance departments for Kitapinoonjiiminaanik Family Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Community College Diploma, or minimum Grade 12 Diploma with two years related experience.
2. Ability to receive, act on, and archive reports, emails, faxes, letters and other forms of correspondence.
3. Ability to scan and upload documents into storage systems.
4. Ability to execute administrative duties such as proofreading, editing, invoicing, drafting correspondence, creating presentations and photocopying.
5. Ability to organize workload, review and follow-up on financial related requests or concerns.
6. Ability to ensure purchase orders and cheque requisitions are duly approved and adhere to program budgets and finance policies and procedures.
7. Extensive experience working with a computerized database.
8. Knowledge of the communities, family structure, as well as the First Nation customs and traditions.
9. Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
10. Committed to ensure the highest level of confidentiality.
11. Must possess a valid Ontario Drivers' License and be willing to travel.
12. Must provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Driver's Abstract.
13. Ability to speak Ojibway is preferred and a definite asset.
