Job Description - Financial Advisor 1, Full-time, Permanent, Prince George


Are you passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals? Integris, a division of Coastal Community Credit Union is excited to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Financial Advisor 1 at our River Point branch in Prince George.

In this role, you will work closely with members to understand their financial needs and provide tailored financial solutions that support their success. You will manage and grow an assigned member portfolio, supporting lending, deposit, and product needs while building strong, trusted relationships. With a focus on delivering exceptional service and achieving sales and referral goals, you will play a key role in enhancing the member experience and contributing to the success of our community-focused organization.

Salary Range: $24.26 - $28.62 per hour.

Main Accountabilities:


Operational Duties



  • Assists members with inquiries (e.g., RSP, RRIF payments, online banking) and completes transactions like cheque processing, transfers, and card services.

  • Opens and maintains accounts for individuals, businesses, and estates, ensuring accurate member information.

  • Promotes financial products and services (e.g., RRIF, RESP) tailored to members' needs.

  • Resolves account errors with clear communication to members and stakeholders.

  • Manages safety deposit boxes and ensures regulatory record-keeping.


Lending Duties



  • Processes personal loan, line of credit, and mortgage applications, assessing financial information and recommending suitable options.

  • Sets up and maintains loans and credit products, including insurance coverage.

  • Follows policies, maintains compliance, and ensures proper documentation.


Service & Sales Duties



  • Provides exceptional member experiences and participates in service enhancement programs.

  • Identifies member needs, cross-sells products, and delivers trusted recommendations.

  • Meets sales and referral goals while building a member portfolio and maintaining strong relationships.


Revenue Recovery & Loss Prevention



  • Reviews and resolves delinquent accounts, working with members to avoid recurrence.

  • Escalates complex delinquent files to appropriate team members.


Regulatory Compliance



  • Ensures compliance with internal and external guidelines, including Know Your Member and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.

  • Maintains proper documentation and reports unusual or fraudulent activity.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:



  • Strong understanding of registered and non-registered products and services offered by Integris.

  • Familiarity with the lending process and the ability to analyze financial statements.

  • Knowledge of banking systems and tools, such as T24, Collabria, Zoho CRM, BC Online, Black Book, Criterion/Pro-Lender, Landcor, Equifax, and Sagen/CMHC (or willingness to learn).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and sales skills, with a proven ability to take ownership and demonstrate accountability and initiative.

  • Completed post-secondary education in a relevant field and 1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
