Job Description - Financial Analyst

Clearpoint Health Network is Canada’s largest trusted provider of independent, multi- disciplinary surgical centres. Working in close collaboration with hospitals, insurance providers, provincial and regional health organizations and workers’ compensation boards, Clearpoint delivers high-quality care across Canada meeting the needs of patients, while alleviating capacity pressure on public health systems. We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst.


This is a high-impact role offering flexibility of hybrid work (remote and in-office), and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and agile environment.

Location: Etobicoke, ON (Hybrid) 190 Attwell Dr, Suite 490 Toronto
Base Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 annually


Position Summary 


We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst, who will lead and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations across multiple surgical sites. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to manage complexity of revenue transactions (including deferred revenue accounting), medical supplies, and other business margin and operating related items. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Finance.


 


Key responsibilities include:



  • Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis (full P&L accounting) for surgical sites which includes recording of revenues, med supplies, physician fee and operating expenses.

  •  Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual closing.

  • Support corporate, payroll and other operational accounting.

  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and documentation of financial procedures

  • Support year‑end audits and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Lead the design and implementation of key internal controls around the accounting transactions.

  • Lead the management of the organization’s control roadmap for key processes, including project management of implementation at various sites

  • Assist in the drafting of policies and procedures as it pertains to internal controls

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual GST/HST filings for tax consultants.

  • Support ERP/accounting system maintenance and enhancements

  • Monthly review of balance sheet items and preparation of balance sheet schedules

  • Work with Senior Manager, Finance to assist in preparation of budgets, reforecasts, monthly management reporting and case costings for new business proposals.


 


Qualifications & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) required or in good standing

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare, public sector.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and audit processes

  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally in a healthcare setting
